1. Know your goal ⠀ ⠀

Is it weight loss? Gaining muscle and shape? General health? Knowing your goal will make step 2 a lot easier ;) ⠀

2. Find a plan that works for YOU!

There are so many ways to become acquainted with weight training! You need to find out what works best for you! Whether that’s taking a class, going to the gym with a friend, small group training, one on one training, or online training! ⠀

Please just make sure you have a plan in hand if you are going to the gym! And not cherry picking exercises from your favorite IG “influencers”. If you want REAL RESULTS- you want to follow a progressive overload PROGRAM! ⠀

3. Become one with the plan 🧘‍♀️ ⠀

Study the new plan the day before the workout! If you don’t know the exercises, look up the proper form and make memos/notes on your workout!

4. Go to the gym THE DAY BEFORE ⠀

If you are following an online plan, come into the gym the day BEFORE your workout and map out your new routine! Locate the machines you’ll be using, figure out how to adjust them, and familiarize yourself with the flow of the workout! ⠀

5. Ask for help ⠀

People are truly amazing! Please don’t be afraid to reach out to your friends that workout, the people at the front desk, or the fit people on the floor! Everyone was a beginner at one point! I’m ALWAYS here to help any way I can too! Message me anytime!!! ⠀
